📢 Gram Panchayat Notice: Strict Action Against Illegal Waste Dumping in Public Places! 📢

Our Gram Panchayat is committed to building a clean and green village. However, it has come to our attention that plastic, organic, and inorganic wastes are being dumped in public places, roadsides, rivers, and streams across the Panchayat. Strict legal action and heavy fines will be imposed on violators in accordance with the regulations of the Government and the Local Self-Government Department.

⚠️ Key Legal Actions and Fine Amounts:

  • Dumping waste in public places: A fine ranging from ₹250/- to ₹5,000/- will be levied.

  • Dumping waste in water bodies and rivers: Under the Kerala Panchayat Raj (Amendment) Act, a fine of up to ₹10,000/- along with strict legal action will be initiated.

  • Burning waste: Burning inorganic waste, including plastics, in open spaces is a punishable offense.

🚯 For Public Attention:

  1. Hand over non-biodegradable waste systematically to the Haritha Karma Sena.

  2. Effort should be made to segregate and process organic waste at home itself.

  3. If you notice waste being dumped illegally, report it to the Panchayat Office or the Health Inspector (your details will be kept confidential).
